About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Analyst / Operations Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can think critically, make quick decisions, and isn’t afraid to ask questions. This is a high-visibility role at the heart of the business—tracking costs, overseeing purchasing, managing light inventory and logistics, and ensuring the operation runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
You will be expected to stay on top of every operational detail, from employee hours to ingredient costs, and provide clear financial insights and solutions to improve overall efficiency and accuracy.
Our client operates within the food manufacturing industry, specializing in the production of high-protein baked goods. They are a growing company with a hands-on operation that includes everything from manufacturing and packaging to distribution. With a single dedicated client and a focused product line, this role is key to maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cost analysis across purchasing, labor, and production
- Manage and optimize daily operations, including production flow, packaging, and logistics
- Monitor ingredient pricing and raw material usage
- Handle bi-weekly purchasing of raw materials with limited storage space
- Prepare and manage budgets and financial forecasts
- Track and report employee hours for payroll purposes
- Support inventory control and vendor management
- Identify inefficiencies or issues and propose proactive solutions
- Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to leadership
- Learn and understand the full manufacturing operation from start to finish
Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, operations management, or manufacturing leadership
- Proven experience with cost analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken fluency required)
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
- Experience with QuickBooks and/or Oracle is a strong plus
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Experience in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or a similar industry
- Familiarity with procurement and inventory management processes
- Exposure to lean operations or continuous improvement practices
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
- Proactive communication style; comfortable asking questions and taking initiative.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
