VP of Design Engineering for Field Production Trucks

VP of Design Engineering for Remote Production Truck Creation 
(Full-time)
 
This position spans remote production operations, broadcast truck design, innovation and engineering. We are looking for a visionary who is not stuck in the standard way of designing a remote truck. We need a person that is creative and not afraid to challenge the norm. Candidate must have a depth of knowledge in remote truck equipment to be relevant and responsible in a fiscal driven company.    
The ideal candidate will have deep understanding of maintaining High Definition broadcast standards and evolving broadcast technology in a dynamic environment.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning, management, installation, and maintenance of all remote trucks in the fleet. Having a good understanding of the technical infrastructure and equipment in each unit.
  • Ability to deploy in the field to coordinate special events as it relates to production.
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of logistics and costs associated with procuring equipment and adherence to operating budgets.
  • Develop, manage and adjust capital facilities planning to anticipate business needs
  • Assure 24-7 technical and operational integrity for the remote truck operations with particular emphasis on error-free operations
  • Configure and troubleshoot a variety of broadcast/ transmission issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance
  • Assure compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills; ability to collaborate interdepartmentally
 
Requirements:
  • 10 years of broadcast troubleshooting truck and remote experience.in a television sports ,news, entertainment event environment,
  • Demonstrates flexibility with working hours, including weekends and nights
  • Minimum of 5 years'
  • Experience with A/V routing, remote truck and control room technologies inc (cameras, LED displays, lenses, mics, IFB, PL, icm), editing, intercom, graphics, automation, robotics and audio.
  • Performs well in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to perform daily responsibilities swiftly, accurately and comprehensively
 
Experience:
  • Broadcast Engineer: 5 year (BA engineering degree)
  • Remote Truck Engineering: 5 year (Preferred)
  • Remote truck design and engineering innovation. Looking for inspiration to break out of old school truck layouts
