Vice President, Operations 
Technology-Based Company- Boca Raton, Florida

Our client is a technology company selling Computer Software and Hardware and is a highly profitable $1.5B company focusing on providing technology solutions. They deliver end-to-end solutions across the entire IT lifecycle—from assessment, design, procurement, and installation to management and asset disposition. 
Working under minimal supervision of the President Enterprise Solutions, referring only to exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the VP, of Operations is responsible for driving profitability and managing aspects of the company’s Enterprise Solutions operations. This position provides leadership and coordination in the administrative operations, business planning, contract negotiating, and budgeting efforts of the company and provides both operational and programmatic support to the organization. This position manages and oversees the operations. The position reports directly to the President and directly assists on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to the fiscal management of the company, including contract negotiation and distribution pricing. This position is part of the company’s executive team.
  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum of 12 years of work experience in managing operations- customer service, sales operations, partnership programs and others 
  • Total years of 18 years or more work experience
  • The minimum competencies required to be successful in the position are listed below.
  • Experience in managing multiple partnerships and dealing with the supply chain issues
  • Knowledge of RFP's contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Fosters and cultivates business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
  • Supervises staff, including regular progress reviews and plans for improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent public speaking ability is a must.
  • Ability to work effectively with the Sales Team is a must.
  • Excellent time management
  • **Candidate local to the area or already planning on relocating 
  • Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.
  • Oversees development of the corporate operating budget. Works with the President to ensure success through cost analysis support, and compliance with all contractual requirements.
  • Interact with the executive team to provide consultative support and the evaluation of planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses.
  • Develop and implement operations, HR, credit & collection, billing, and auditing procedures.
  • Oversee the management and coordination of all profitability reporting activities for the organization including: organizational revenue/expense and profitability reports by business segments, development and monitoring of organizational and contract budgets.
  • Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.
  • Review and negotiate customer, supplier, and manufacturer contracts.
  • Interact and negotiate with a distribution channel to maintain the best pricing level possible.
  • Develop and negotiate strategic volume purchase pricing with key distribution partners where applicable
  • Develop strategic plans to leverage manufacturer programs to enhance company margin.
  • Develop strategic plans to enhance freight margin.
  • Develop strategic plans to maximize company profitability
  • Negotiate with manufacturers on enterprise custom-built units to ensure maximum return on manufacturer’s vendor consideration programs.
  • Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.
