Salary $120k-$140k bonus  and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO)
 
**A mix of experience in the Re-insurance industry along with experience in Information Technology **
 
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE  
 
The Vice President of Operations and Client Support is responsible to promote the efficiency and profitability of the company. This role effectively manages the business-facing teams to oversee and assist client services interactions to promptly respond to inquiries and resolve any issues, requests and / or complaints.  This manages the Center of Excellence Team, Project Managers, Account Managers and Business Analysts and provides mentorship and performance improvement feedback.  This role ensures the timely and top-quality work and productivity of all direct reports. This role is responsible to create, manage and control budgets and forecasts for the company while formulating and executing the strategic and operational objectives.  
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY 
This position manages from 6 to 12 direct or indirect reporting professional level employees either locally or from the Global Headquarters

  • Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule coach, counsel, and discipline employees 
  • Communicate job expectations: planning, monitoring appraising, and reviewing job contributions 
  • Provide mentorship to direct reports to improve their performance  
  • Formulate and execute upon strategic and operational objectives 
  • Collect and examine financial data and use them to make business decisions and improve profitability 
  • Manage budgets and forecasts. Oversee reporting, planning, and auditing. Identify and analyze budget variances and initiate corrective actions. 
  • Strong attention to detail with strong project management and process management skillset and experience 
  • Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs 
  • KPI and measurement focus for both people and process that delivers continuous improvement and flawless execution. 
  • Ensure team is the consultative knowledge expert for both the company and Client 
  • Excellent teamwork skills with direct reports and peer group to meet all established deadlines in a dynamic environment 
  • Thorough knowledge of the services provided by the company. This individual will also need to develop a sufficient understanding of the company software, in order to better this individual’s understanding of the services the company provides.  
  • Ensure team is delivering to the client an outstanding Client experience and satisfaction with the company team and product and services.  
  • Ensure that the appropriate, cross-functional resources are involved at all phases of the implementation and support, including pre- and post-implementation 
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver 
  • Demonstrate ability to successfully manage both internal and external constituencies 
  • Ensure that transparency is being provided for project status and delivery across the company and Client 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written 
  • Communicate directly with key executives on client’s side. Develop and maintain relationships with said executives. 
  • Support employee communication with the management team 
  • Establish, implement, and communicate the strategic direction of the organizations operations division. 
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems. 
  • Collaborate with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization's goals and objectives. 
  • Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials. 
  • Ensure that decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organizations’ strategic business plan and vision. 
  • Establish, communicate, and implement operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution. 
  • Review and approve cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects. 
  • Establish and administer the departments' budget. 
  • Present periodic performance reports and metrics to the chief executive officer and other leadership. 
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management. 
 
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or industry-related field, required; MBA preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of Insurance Industry required  
  • At least 10 years of industry-related experience including 3 years in upper management required. 
  • PMP, Project Management certifications preferred 
  • French language knowledge – a plus
  • Experience in a fast-paced Information Technology Industry / Environment
