Technical Production Manager (TPM)
Miami, Florida
Candidates must possess proficient technical skills in the following areas: Control room protocols, studio operations, remote operations, sound design/sound technician, lighting design/master electrician work, plus strong scenic design/set construction skills. TPM must understand all proficiency of all Technical positions with good knowledge of cost and value of each position. Crewing for each production and strategizing production times in order to maximize usage of all the resources. TPM must enforce all environmental Health and Safety procedures making sure that entire crew is engaged in the safety culture.
  • Acquires and coordinates the routing of signals
  • Handles technical issues during live and scheduled productions
  • Handles and coordinates the routing of control room sources
  • Programs the control room's RTS panels/Adam depending on the production's needs
  • Addresses production requirements (equipment, prop rentals)
  • Broadcast crewing
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
  • Work under highly pressurized and stressful conditions, a flexible and positive approach is highly valued.
  • This position supports 24x7 operations, thus availability after hours, and in cases extended shifts, is a must

Qualifications and Requirements 
  • 5-10 years of experience in control room broadcast facility
  • Knowledge and versatile in control room and studio equipment
  • Technical experience in signal processing, routing, scopes, etc.
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Engineering experience required
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred

  • Miranda router
  • RTS Systems and AZEdit Adam software
  • iNEWS Newsroom Computer System (NRCS)
  • Ross Overdrive - Vision Switcher
  • Robotic Cameras
  • Carbonite Switcher
