Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Technician with 2 to 3 years of experience in Supply Chain / Logistics, Materials and Supplier management. Competitive wage and lucrative benefits! SAP a strong plus
 
Job Location: Milwaukee, WI - ONSITE
Start Date: Immediate
Employment Type: Regular Full Time
Hours per Week: 40
Work Hours (ie. shift): 1st shift, 7:00am – 3:30pm
Starting Salary Range: $25.00 per hour (Annual $52,000)
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Monitor orders for materials, parts and services from within pre-established timeframes and within appropriate cost parameters.
  • Provide timely feedback on the status of orders, material availability, and delivery expectation, or cost as required.
  • Identify and analyze the need and urgency to arrange the optimal mode of shipment to ensure the order is received at the appropriate destination within the agreed timeframe.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Planning and Warehouse departments to ensure any problems are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain a Demand/Forecast report based on material delivery dates. This report is reviewed weekly with production and purchasing to ensure deliveries will not impact the manufacturing schedule.
  • Recommend temporary or alternate solutions to material availability problems.
  • Contacts suppliers to arrange for repair/replacement of damaged or defective parts, materials and tools.
 
Some travel is required pertaining to Supplier management.
 
 
 Job Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
  • Two (2) years industry experience and/or an Associate’s Degree preferably in Logistics
  • Strong customer service/satisfaction focus
  • Ability to learn and comprehend the industry and related materials including company supplied parts and other parts used including competitor parts
  • Interpersonal skills needed for positive interaction with suppliers and internal customers
  • Must have a positive work attitude and focus on team collaboration
  • Ability to perform data entry and retrieve information from SAP MM system
  • Ability to take initiative and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP (SAP R3) is a strong plus
  • Must have strong working knowledge of computer software including but not limited to MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word)
