Our client is a large technology company with a national footprint. ttg Talent Solutions was engaged to find their next staff accountant, and we were entrusted to find an accountant who meets the following criteria:

Heavy / Advanced excel skills
Heavy account reconciliation
Able to work autonomously, with solid work ethic
Very analytical and detailed oriented
Driven and doesn’t need to be micromanaged
Problem solver with ability to take ownership
Years of experience – min of 2 years

Job Summary

Essential Job Functions:

General accounting functions
Reconcile A/P differences in accounting system vs. ordering system
Manage Credit Card expenses
Maintain trade invoice information in Access database
Webinars/training to stay abreast of new developments
Research and special projects as necessary

Month end closing

Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Prepare and enter journal entries and month-end accruals
Variance analysis and financial statement review

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Accounting, or Bachelor’s in Finance with at least two years of general accounting experience
JDE/Oracle preferred or similar financial application.
Must be assertive and possess excellent communication/writing skills
Understanding of U.S. GAAP/FASB Codification
Advanced knowledge in Excel a must
Must have experience in month-end close, preparing and entering journal entries, month-end accruals, following up on financial statement review questions
Attention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materials
Ability to work overtime during the month-end closing days.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects effectively.
Microsoft Access experience a plus
