Job Description
SUMMARY: The Sr. Financial Analyst, Capital Finance, is a key player managing a multi-million Dollar Capital Budget for one of the largest Media Conglomerates in the US.   This professional will be interacting closely with both the Corporate FP&A Team, and the Business Operations Managers. Also, this position will be responsible for interacting very closely with the Procurement Department, to ensure the company manages its capital expenditures within the CAPEX Budget constrains.
  • Hands on contributor to the overall Budget Planning Process – mainly focused on the Technical and CAPEX side of the operation.
  • Maintain capital appropriations database
    • Project names consistency, division assignment
  • Consolidation of capital spend, by project, across the company
  • Perform actuals versus forecast analysis
  • Oversee monthly capital estimate process for the company
  • Compile and report quarterly MDA’s for corporate Finance
  • Track and report to Operations and Finance open capital commitments
  • Manage cash versus accrual reporting model
  • Prepare and report Power Point presentation to capital management Finance and Operations owners
  • Manage FCC Repack process
    • Track and reconcile spend to the GL
    • Confirm FCC reimbursable versus non-reimbursable expenses
    • Highlight discrepancies
    • Manage FCC reimbursement process from beginning to end (payment receipt)
  • Finance or Accounting degree (or closely related field)
  • 2-4 years of FP&A or relevant experience work experience; prior role in analytical environment preferred
  • Strong Excel and Power Point skills a must; experience in using Oracle Financials and/or Smartview Accounting (PBCS) a plus
  • Big Data Analysis
  • Media industry experience a plus
