Senior Events Manager

Our client is a technology company, seeking an experienced Events Manager with proven track record to oversee the development and execution of corporate, in person events such as conferences, and tradeshows.  In addition, they will be responsible for setting up virtual events for the field sales team throughout the Central part of the US.  
This is a critical role interfacing with marketing teams and ensuring alignment across other functional groups.  This role includes events strategy, budget management, production tools, event execution logistics and a flare for innovation and creativity both in the virtual world and in person. The Sr Events Manager will oversee the business side of events, partnering with other marketing and sales leadership to ensure that the brand and messaging is clear.   Each event has clear goals and objectives that will generate significant return on investment by bringing in targeted prospects and customers and showcasing the value of the company.
Position Responsibilities
  • Create and execute the strategy, development, and execution of the company’s corporate events
  • Support the Field Marketing team with corporate events that build and execute a consistent, on-brand and customer needs-focused events strategy both nationally and at the local level
  • Ensure alignment across the event and field marketing team and other organizations including messaging, budgets, production tools, and event execution logistics
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing and product organizations to execute corporate events that align with the company’s product and solutions strategy and meets pipeline and sales goals
  • Improve the company’s third-party events, conferences, and virtual strategy in synchronization with go-to-market strategy
  • Understanding & Experience working with virtual meeting platforms
  • Experience with social media marketing (LinkedIn, Twitter) 
  • Drive to find unique ways to improve event program execution and methodologies by leveraging industry standards
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of event experience leading corporate events/meetings, as a trade show exhibitor (booth logistics) and field marketing events; as well as recent experience in virtual events. (Technology industry a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business degree or related degree required, MBA plus
  • Must have a proven track record in managing large-scale events programs and bespoke events targeting enterprise prospects and customers
  • Deep understanding of the logistics and production complexities of user conferences, field events, third-party events, conferences, and hospitality.
  • Strong contract negotiation ( vendor, hotel etc.)  experience required
  • Strong track record of collaboration and leadership working with creative teams to create an awesome customer experience
  • Must have a sense of urgency and ‘Can Do’, positive attitude and never satisfied with the status quo
  • Requires excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentations)
  • Should have a collaboration leadership style and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience working remotely, as well as having a separate and noise free home office
