Job Location: Miami FL
Job Type: FullTime (40 hours per week)
Work Schedule:
  • Monday through Fridays - 8:00am to 4:30pm
Salary Range:  $14 - $16 / per hour (Depending on Experience)

General Job Description: Responsible for coordinating warehouse staff workflow each day, management of logistics documents, carrying out daily operational procedures, and general customer service. The Shipping Clerk/Operations Assistant will communicate directly with all internal departments (Logistics, Operations, Sales and Accounting) as well as with Suppliers, Custom Brokers, Warehouses, Carriers, and other service providers to create efficiencies within the process.
Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Source carriers, staffing agencies, and suppliers / vendors while adhering to established budgets
  • Coordinate with carriers the estimated time of arrival (ETA) to warehouse to plan when orders need to be prepared and ready for shipment
  • Review with Customer Service & Operations representatives that all orders have been shipped in the system correctly
  • Take initiative and proactively work with carriers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Review daily outbound shipments for product availability and report any shortages or discrepancies
  • Ensure FIFO (First-In First- Out) inventory / shipping protocol is being followed
  • Oversee that QC Reports/USDA are being communicated to Purchase Department in a timely manner
  • Coordinate all inbound product purchases between Purchasing Dept., Carriers, and Receiving
  • Maintain daily and weekly operational checklists
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Effective communicator - English/ Spanish
  • Demonstrated geographical knowledge of the US and Canada
  • Adaptable to changing business needs
  • Ability to analyze trends and patterns in large sets of shipping data
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel functions such as pivots, concatenate, V-Lookups
  • Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in procurement or operations within a third-party transportation environment (experience including “Less Than Truckload” freight operations strongly preferred)
  • Associates college degree or working towards a degree
