Position Title:  Senior Staff Accountant
Salary Range:  $60K - $70K
Location:  Miami, FL
Remote Role:  No
Language Requirement:  English/Spanish (Fully Bilingual)
 
 
Job Summary:
 
Under the general supervision of the Controller, the incumbent is responsible for the management reporting of various sales offices in Latin America, and various other general ledger activities which are detailed below.
 
Specific Duties:          
 
General Ledger Responsibilities:
Record various journal entries
            Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations 
            Other Responsibilities TBD
 
Managing Financial Reporting of Ecuador, CID Ecuador, Peru, CID Peru, Honduras, Paraguay
Support sales office accounting personnel
            Manage & reconcile Inter-co activity
            Reconcile detail reports to the GL
            Translate GL from local currency to US$
            Enter US$ Journal Entry
            Print, review and reconcile financial statements      
            Review cash-flow
            Follow-up on accounting issues
Visit each office twice per year to perform financial & internal audit reviews
  • Review Fin Statement (AR, P, Inventory-Slow Movers & Expired Prod, and Expenses)
  • Review recent contracts and commitments
  • Question Deviations from Plan
  • Review Intercompany activity and debt with Miami
  • Audit processes for compliance with Company Policies, and Internal Control Procedure

Know-How:
            Training:
Seeking BA in Accounting. Over 5 years of experience in accounting.  Must be fluent in Spanish since traveling to Latin America is required (4 to 8 trips a year)

 The incumbent needs to be thorough and accurate in the reporting of financial statements and have good analytical skills.

Incumbent must be able to think and act independently in her day-to-day activities.  For higher level financial matters, incumbent will refer to the Controller.
