Job Summary:
The role is responsible for the execution, enforcement, and success of the payroll operations by working swiftly against tight deadlines to ensure timely and accurate payroll operations. The Senior Payroll Administrator will leverage knowledge of company guidelines, policy and procedures to deploy payroll efforts for both union and non-union employees. A sharp attention to detail, strong time management, customer service, and keen organizational skills are required.
 
Job responsibilities:
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with customers and third- party partners by understanding employee issues and resolving employee challenges
  • Execute customer service operations by addressing employee inquires, communicating company policies and information, and addressing payroll-related concerns
  • Correspond with outside agencies for employment inquiries and verifications
  • Provide detailed, accurate information to various levels of company staff
  • Build beneficial external and internal partnership with stakeholders
  • Execution, monitoring and maintenance of diverse payroll operations procedures mitigating against any disruption to the payroll process
  • Ensure payroll operations align with company policies and compliance regulations
  • Execute payroll for union and non-union employees premised on semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly payroll structures
  • Process both hourly and salary payroll for multiple states
  • Process new hires and terminations in payroll systems to ensure effective onboarding and off-boarding processes
  • Extensive involvement with management teams in disaster recovery and business interruption initiatives as relates to payroll processing
  • Leverage sound decision-making skills while orchestrating day-to-day payroll operations, including filing documentation and responding to internal requests for information
  • Engaging, professional telephone manner and strong attention to detail with a knack for organization, time management, and verbal communication
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
Education / Experience:
  • 5-10 years of experience in payroll administration or similar role, preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
