If you are savvy financial analyst, with a business partner attitude, this job might be for you.  You will be working with our client's top 5 customers and will be partnering and support key strategic leaders of the organization.

Job Summary: Works with Contract Manager, Directors, National Accounts and upper management in core pharmaceutical financial, pricing, and rebate functions in support of the Top 5 Company’s accounts (customers with combined annual net sales of $460M) including but not limited to customer contract compliance and profitability, ad hoc price challenges, annual pricing bids, customer contract agreement review and product target modeling.  Responsible for creating Business Analyses needed to review pharmaceutical customer product pricing or rebate program requests and makes recommendations on the profitability of the opportunity.  Responsible for training on Business Analysis systems – Vistex – and acts as a business expert in the development of system enhancements to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the department. 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Create the Business Analyses used to review pharmaceutical customer product pricing or rebate program requests and assists in determining the profitability of the opportunity.
  • Acts as a gatekeeper for any proposed changes to pricing, rebate programs, and terms and conditions for large customers and works closely with the Supervisor, Contracts to assess impact to the business as a whole.
  • Review wholesalers’ and large chain actual profitability to determine if it’s at the expected level and, if not; work with the account manager to improve performance of the account.
  • Provide necessary business analysis to the audit team, National Account Manager and Contracts Manager to identify underperforming customers and assist in executing strategies to address and resolve the situation with the customer.
  • Continuous review and updates to the Rebate and Terms database to reflect the most recent and accurate customer rebate and terms data.
  • Conducts monthly customer business reviews with the Contracts Manager, Directors National Accounts, Finance and Pricing to review rebates, FTS penalties, usage compliance, profitability, open issues and go forward strategy.
  • Identify pricing inconsistencies between direct customer, indirect customer and wholesaler contracts and present findings to Pricing and Contract Managers to ensure pricing stability.
  • Maintain pricing, product mix, validity dates, rebates, and terms of assigned customers.
  • Provides all relevant documentation necessary for RFP responses, price challenges or inquiries from assigned customers.

  • Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, Finance or Accounting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must be self-motivated and possess strong business ethics for handling confidential information.
  • Able to make independent judgment decisions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments.
  • Advanced computer skills including database and query development and spreadsheet manipulation.
  • 5 – 7 years relevant pharmaceutical experience; or High School Diploma with 9 – 11 years of relevant pharmaceutical experience.
