Reports to: Directly to Senior VP of Sales
Background:
Our client is a global importer and distributor of fresh produce to the retail and wholesale industries based in Coral Gables, Florida. Their products portfolio includes bananas, pineapples, plantains and ethnic tropical fruits.
The Business Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the sales operations of the company’s most important customers.  They would own and execute end-to-end operational processes, facilitate continuous improvement efforts, and conduct analysis required to support and grow these accounts. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct data analysis and provide strategic insights/recommendations to the sales team and company leadership on ways to improve customer performance.
  • Provide recommendations on ways to apply best practices and learnings from one customer’s account management to others.
  • Support account planning and growth initiatives with an assigned set of customers.
  • Own customer support activities and interact as required with different sets of customer stakeholders (buyers, AP teams, quality teams, etc.)
  • Ensure accuracy of order entry and pricing, support logistics and transportation teams, manage use of customer portals.
  • Act as a quarterback to ensure operational and supply chain readiness to fulfil customer orders consistent with high levels of customer service and ensure that volume obligations are met on a weekly basis.
  • Support A/R management for a set of customers by facilitating the customer claims and credit process, with the support of the claims and collections department.
  • Liaise with Finance management on analysis of customer profitability as an informational tool for sales support.
  • Support sales team category management efforts.
  • Manage KPI reporting for this customer and deliver updates to company leadership.
  • Career Path: This role is in strategic partnership with the sales team and expected to teach the basics of account management to each business analyst. As such, it should be a nurturing role that will help to shape future salespeople. All business analysts must be physically present in the Coral Gables office
Required Skills
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field.
  • Requires 3-5 years previous experience in a related area as an individual contributor.
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills
  • Superior communication skills (written and oral)
  • Very process oriented and attentive to detail
  • Professional “can do” attitude with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical mind with good data manipulation skills
  • Strategic and able to synthesize together recommendations from disparate data sources
  • Highly proficient in computer software (e.g. Microsoft office)
  • ERP System Experience - SAP experience preferred
