Summary
The Receiving Manager plans, organizes and monitors the receipt, storage, and distribution of items. The manager would ensure a smooth and consistent operation so that parts and supplies are located and distributed in an effective and efficient manner to satisfy internal requirements.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervises and coordinates receiving activities. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in unloading containers.
  • Reviews packing lists, bills of lading, invoices, and other documents to verify and confirm shipment.
  • Processes all receipts into NetSuite.
  • Distributes all receipts to corresponding person / department.
  • Coordinates and schedules incoming shipments with the Port and our transportation company.
  • Determines space requirements for the staging of receipts.
  • May assist workers in receiving activities.
  • Receives and processes all Return Authorizations.
  • Provides weekly count of non-inventory items to Purchasing.
  • Coordinates put away logistics
  • Supervise multiple locations and be able to move between locations by your own means.
  • Be cell phone accessible throughout the day.
  • Be in constant communication with other department heads
 
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position supervises employees and is responsible for their performance.
  • Authorized to sign for vendor shipments
 
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 7 years receiving experience
  • Minimum of five years ( 5) of experience acting in a lead or supervisory capacity
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of general computer programs including Microsoft Office products, email and the Internet.
  • Communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
  • Maintain confidential information where required.
  • Understand, abide, and enforce safety guidelines and quality processes as required.
  • Proficient in receiving discipline and has ability to train and direct others.
  • Forklift certified
  • Must be able to pass drug and background screen.
  • Must have legal status in the US
Working Conditions
  • While performing the duties of this job, there are requirements for lifting, standing for long periods of time, work in warm weather temperature conditions, and walking throughout the warehouse; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Evening and/or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines.
