Our client is an international industrial manufacturer and maintenance provider who, for over 60 years, has been recognized worldwide for their commitment to innovation, technological development, service and reliability in the transit industry. ttg Talent Solution has been engaged to find a Quality Department Manager, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin who meets the following criteria:
  • Strong engineering and industrial discipline
  • Experienced in the manufacturing process
  • Extensive knowledge of QA Management systems ISO 9001
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for training and other needs
  • Detail oriented, analytical problem solver with ability to take ownership
  • Driven and self-directed, not needing to be micro-managed
  • Years of Experience – minimum 4 to 6 years in Quality Control or Assurance roles
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish), a plus

Job Summary
Essential Job Functions
Key requirements and responsibilities of the Quality Department Manager role are:
  • Conduct inspections and Non-destructive testing
  • Manage the Quality Control activities of the facility
  • Conduct and/or supervise inspections and verification of incoming material, in both the supplier and company facilities.
  • Conduct and/or supervise inspections and verification of the production process
  • Analyze recurring problems and implement corrective actions
  • Define necessary inspections points during production process to include bill of process.
  • Prepare reports, and maintain records of each inspection
  • Supervise a team of one to five QA Technicians
  • Management of FAIs (fully responsible for FAIs)
  • Conduct and approve the project inspections plan
  • Provide advice on quality issues
  • Right to veto over project decision that affect Quality
  • Analyze recurring problems and implement corrective actions
  • Reception of transit and other equipment
  • Prepare reports, and maintain records of each equipment and facility inspection
  • Approval of derogations and regulatory compliance exceptions
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or an Industrial discipline
  • Experience in QA Management Systems ISO 9001
  • Experience with SAP required; R3 and Teamcenter preferred
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of Quality Control or Assurance experience
  • Experience in Manufacturing Processes
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally, per project needs
