Responsible for the development of the Food Safety and Quality programs at the company's Farms as well as addressing all food safety and quality concerns reports by employees, vendors, or customers.
 
  • Develop and maintain the Food Safety programs – HACCP, SQF, Regulatory Agencies, and customer and supplier audits.
  • Ensure adherence to all Food Safety programs daily, check all Food Safety and QA documents, provide guidance to personnel, and maintain all records.
  • Functions as the facilities SQF practitioner and recertify annually.
  • Develop Total Quality Control programs, maintain policies, procedures, specification, and reports, ensure conformance to specification, and conduct internal audits and control R&A activity for the facility.
  • Control operational cost, safety materials, QA labor, laboratory expenses and product development expenses.
  • Provide training in Safety, Food Safety and Quality Assurance, develop training agenda, maintain records, and pursue additional training to keep current with industry trends.
 
Requirements
  • BS in Food Science or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years in supervision or management of employees
  • Knowledge of microbiology, fresh vegetables, HACCP, GHP, GAP
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
