Our client is a profitable $1.3BM company focusing on providing technology solutions. They have engaged ttg Talent Solution to find their next Proposal Manager
The Proposal Manager coordinates and writes proposals - responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) - under strict deadlines and often with very little lead-time. The Proposal Manager creates additional documents, including RFI's, pricing proposals, and ad hoc documents for external and internal clients. The Manager interacts with Sales, Services, Finance, Legal and Marketing, facilitating communication and documentation required for the proposal. Addresses specific needs/requirements, ensuring quality and consistency in the overall document and identifies potential issues within the RFP terms and conditions. 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manages, coordinates, and leads RFP project from initial receipt through RFP delivery. Leads the development, compilation, and detailed requests for proposals (RFPs) content which pertains to the company’s information, organizational information, product specific data, portal information, and other specific content requested by the client. Ensures the response flows and positions the company’s Enterprise favorably in the response.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of RFP database (Qvidian). Maintains files and logs of completed consultant and pending questionnaires. Provides data and publishes RFP metrics
  • Works closely with team colleagues to suggest and implement content improvements; oversees the implementation of these improvements as necessary. Follows up on all wins and losses to ensure learnings are captured in the metrics and reported in the results
  • Processes client and supplier forms
Required Skills
  • 5 years’ experience as Proposal Manager (or other supervisor/lead) in a technology related industry
  • Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact within all levels of the company, including upper management
  • Strong multi-tasking, research, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated customer focus
  • Flexible with ability to complete deadline-oriented deliverables to both internal and external parties
  • Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strong business acumen with ability to synthesize information across the company  
Additional preferred competencies or preferred qualifications, if any:
  • Business Knowledge - understanding of product offerings and verticals such as Computer reseller, Client Information Systems, IT, OEM (manufacturer) or related areas
  • Experience with Ariba, Qvidian and other RFP submittal portals a plus

Salary range $75k -$80K with Quarterly bonus $1,000 plus excellent health benefits, 15 days’ vacation, 8 paid Holidays, 401k match and more.
