Job purpose
The Tissue Processing Circulator supports the Tissue Processing Technicians in the production of tissues for transplantation. Also, ensures that all equipment and supplies used for processing are maintained and ready for use, and that all clean room maintenance is completed daily. The EVS/Processing Circulator is also responsible for complying with the quality assurance requirements and quality system goals of the tissue bank as mandated by federal, state, and trade regulations. This position can be an excellent career path to Supervisor and Management!
Duties and responsibilities
  • Preparation of clean room as described in SOPs.
  • Preparation of sterile field including all equipment and supplies for processing sessions.
  • Data entry for all processed allografts produced during processing session (creating and updating batch information in BTM and corresponding spreadsheets).
  • Completion of paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Tissue allograft inspection at final packaging as specified by SOP.
  • Assist in the transfer of donated tissue from the storage location to the processing area.
  • Timely turnover (cleaning and disinfection) of clean rooms and equipment between each processing session.  Additionally, responsible for the monthly terminal cleaning of clean rooms.
  • Ensure that all applicable storage equipment is filled as per protocol.
  • Ensure that all biohazard waste is disposed of in the appropriate manner.
  • Knowledgeable of the information contained in the Tissue Bank Manuals.
  • Assist in any other task or function (if qualified) within the department on an as needed or emergency basis, and as assigned by Manager or Director.
  • 1-year experience in EVS in a hospital, sterile facility, laboratory preferred (willing to train)
  • The desire to work for a biologics company and to grow with the company
  • Some college preferred in a related field of study of Tissue Bank Processing, Operating Room or Manufacturing environment.
  • Must demonstrate written and oral communication skills and have a track record reflecting attention to detail and organization. 
  • HS diploma or equivalent required
Working conditions
Majority of the work is performed inside a cleanroom, under aseptic conditions. Cleanrooms are usually kept under cool conditions. The use of heavy machinery in enclosed areas can lead to a loud working environment. 
Physical requirements
Requires extended periods of time standing up. Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs. unassisted. Requires repetitive motions with minimal breaks throughout the day.
Compensation:  $15 per hour based on 40 hours per week.  You have the option work Overtime at time and half pay rate.  The option to work past 3pm is available M-F, as well as, possible working additional hours on Saturday and Sunday. Plus health benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision), PTO with 14 days paid days off per year for the 1st and 2nd year. 
After 6 months of successful work history, you could be for promotion to the next step. If the position is available, the timeline could be sooner.
