Target Compensation Target $200,000 - $250,000 (Salary Bonus LTIP)
Remote- US East Coast 

For US generic ANDA and 505(b)(2) products

Job Summary:
Our Client is a global pharmaceutical organization and has engaged ttg Talent Solutions to find their next Business Development Manager.
Responsible for identifying and establishing partnerships with external parties by implementing business development strategies, including product in-licensing, distribution arrangements, acquisitions, co-development, outsourcing R&D, and contract manufacturing for the overall growth, profitability, and market positioning of our client’s US Generics Business. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify portfolio gaps and evaluate new opportunities for company growth in connection with commercial team.
  • Search for, initiate, draft, structure, negotiate, and close agreements for US generic ANDA and 505(b)(2) products in the form of product in-licenses, distribution arrangements, acquisitions, co-development, outsourcing R&D, contract manufacturing, and intellectual property ownership. Renegotiate amendments/ terms when necessary.
  • Facilitate deals though company’s internal business development due diligence processes by collaborating with experts from other functional areas within company and/or consultants.
  • Continually develop and maintain a broad professional network with skilled, potential partners
  • Make authoritative recommendations with respect to the attractiveness and fit of new partnerships and product opportunities within the role’s scope of authority.
  • Interact with existing partners to facilitate communications, keep track of milestones, authorize invoice payments, ensure and enforce contract adherence, and identify opportunities to enhance the mutual benefits of the relationship.
  • Maintain an active, continuous flow of multiple deals and coordinate the analysis of these opportunities simultaneously.
  • Work as a collaborative team member of the Global Business Development department to achieve all team goals and outcomes.
  • Initiate and bring to fruition high level global strategies, connecting corporate needs with product requirements as necessary to the benefit of company as a whole.
  • Travel required (15% - 25% of the time) to facilitate business opportunities and represent company as an ambassador to the business.
  • Attend industry meetings, trade shows, and events.
  • Maintain awareness of industry and technology trends, assessing opportunities and potential competitive threats, and advise internal colleagues and supervisor as appropriate.
  • Conduct research and collect business intelligence of new products, market segments, and strategic alliances to identify, analyze, and evaluate new opportunities for company growth.
  • Actively partner with the US Portfolio, Sales, and Marketing functions to keep apprised of market information.
  • Ensures compliance with all Company policies and procedures including safety rules and regulations.
  • Operates in accordance with our Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, and all established regulatory, compliance and safety requirements

  • All other relevant duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum education of bachelor’s degree in business/science or related field; advanced degree in relevant discipline preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Understanding of the US FDA regulatory affairs product approval process, and how it relates to intellectual property is a must;
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical development and manufacturing requirements for the various classes of drugs, technologies, and dosage forms, specifically complex formulations, sterile injectables, and devices, is highly desirable;
  • Broad knowledge in a number of pharmaceutical disciplines including portfolio, sales & marketing, R&D, medical affairs, quality assurance, and manufacturing;
  • Advanced analytical and financial evaluation skills, including forecasting and marketing assumptions specific to the US;
  • Negotiation skills;
  • Skills in project management and problem solving;
  • Knowledge of various computer software packages and operating systems, including but not limited to MS Office;
  • Experienced user of Excel, database applications, and internet search engines;
  • Experience with IMS IQVIA is desirable;
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Advanced interpersonal skills; ability to deal with people at different levels in the organization;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, planning and organizational skills;
  • Ability to travel (15%-25%);
  • Fluent in English, fluency in additional languages desirable.
  • 5 years of business development experience in US generic ANDA and 505(b)(2) pharmaceuticals identifying,
  • Experience searching, and closing deals; international exposure desirable;
  • Minimum 7 years pharmaceutical/ medical device experience;
  • Existing contacts and network within the pharmaceutical industry is a must
