GENERAL SUMMARY
Operations Manager is in charge of all aspects of the day-to-day supervision of high-end cinemas. They lead cinema operations to ensure and meet the customer needs and achieve revenue targets. The Operations Manager performs their duties utilizing efficient operations, which are focused on fair people management systems and standard operating procedures.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • 2 years of experience in Restaurant (QSR, Fast Casual, fill service) Management or Retail Manager- Assistant Manager or higher
  • Customer service, Solving Issues, Managing staff   
        Associates  Degree - Business or Hospitality Management, Preferred but not required  Bachelors Degree a Plus!
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Safe Staff food handling manager certified
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Ability to communicate over the phone or by e-mail to a wide variety of businesses, staff and the public
  • Be knowledgeable of Hollywood and what the latest trends are.  
  • Must be able to manage their time efficiently.  
  • Know when to delegate and when to do the job at hand personally.
  • Ability to multitask on many different levels from Operations, to food & beverage etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe conditions and actions to a supervisor and/or Manager.
  2. Maintains a clean and orderly work area and meets other housekeeping needs as required by the company.
  3. Ops managers are in charge of all aspects of the day-to-day supervision of cinemas and its employees.
  4. Lead cinema operations to ensure and meet the customer needs and achieve revenue targets.
  5. Completing the show schedule each week according to the instructions of the programing manager and the film committee.
  6. Overseeing the entire planning of the theatre including the movie schedule and staff schedules.
  7. Oversee that the employees are ServSafe certified within 60 days of hire and employees that are expiring take the course needed to keep compliant.  Make a copy of the certificate and keep in the ServSafe binder for the health department, keep that binder up to date.
  8. Recruiting, training, managing and appraising staff.
  9. Keeping financial and statistical records including admits, SPH, labor cost.
  10. Assuring excellent customer service is provided.
  11. Working with the IT Department to fix any issues that may arise.
  12. Solving customer inquiries and complaints.
  13. Maintaining cinema standards.
  14. Maximizing productivity and meeting sales targets.
  15. Working diligently to ensure that all departments’ standards are being followed.  
  16. Interviewing, Hiring & Firing of Cinema Staff.
  17. Motivating all staff to do their best in performing their duties.
  18. Evaluating the performance of the cinema staff.  
  19. Stay compliant with OSHA regulations and keep the MSDS book updated with new data sheets depending on which chemicals we are using.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The Operations Manager must be able to be on their feet from 8-10 hours a day.  
Standing and walking throughout entire theatre, lobby, outside and parking structure are required as well.  
Must have an excellent eye for detail and the ability to multitask at all times   
Lifting up to 50 pounds is also required to assist all Dept.’s when necessary.  
Basic Maintenance is not required but sometimes needed as well.  (Change light bulbs, replace batteries, build standees…etc.)
