Full Job Description
  • Collect paper and electronic health information from hospitals, specialists, diagnostic centers, among others.
  • Performs scanning of paper health information and/or upload of electronic health information into the electronic health record following established guidelines.
  • Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis of scanned document images or uploaded documents to assure accuracy and legibility maintained.
  • Participates with clinic office staff and center administrator to establish well-coordinated compliant scanning or upload routines.
  • Promotes an atmosphere that encourages enthusiasm regarding accurate record maintenance and availability.
  • Follows Federal, State, and local laws and regulations related to medical records management.
  • Send records to other departments. For instance, to the coding department.
  • Running reports with security procedures, such as checking who is accessing information, how long records are being reviewed and from which terminals. Other reports might compare the medical records of each patient with each office visit to check for consistency.

Experience:
  • Medical records: (6 months)
