Has been recognized as a Top Performing Hospital and has invested in a new campus expansion project that includes a new 7 story patient tower, 3 story medical office building, and a recently completed 5 level state of the art parking garage. With over 500 physicians on staff, representing over 200 specialties and over 1,900 employees, Our client is an Inland Empire leader in providing advanced, comprehensive health care to the Inland region. Our client houses the largest Emergency Room and Trauma Center in the Inland Empire at 50 beds with an average wait time of only 15 minutes. Is one of Riverside County’s only STEMI receiving centers and is a fully accredited Chest Pain Center. The center includes the HeartCare Institute, offering invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures, the Center of Excellence for Surgical Weight Loss, the Transplant Program, and a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Our client is Gold Seal Certified by The Joint Commission in Total Hip and Total Knee replacement and is an “A” graded hospital inpatient safety.
Position Summary:
G5 is an Ortho/Trauma/Bariatric/Surgical unit.
The Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility for planning, supervising, and evaluating the care of patients to ensure comprehensive and continuous care for each patient/family in the unit and shift of responsibility. This involves management and responsibilities for diverse categories of personnel for patient care. The Nurse Manager position requires in-depth productivity management, knowledge of management principles, communication, teaching/learning principles, nursing practice, and the ability to apply nursing theories. Acceptance of the philosophy and policies of the nursing unit and of the institution is essential. The position requires skills in interpersonal communication, group dynamics, problem-solving, delegation, interviewing, observation, counseling, and teaching. The Nurse Manager must evaluate personnel, assess the environment, and determine priorities for care in order to plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes of care. The Nurse Manager must function effectively in stressful situations. /
Licensure/ Certification/Registration:
California RN License
BLS ( American Heart)
National RN Certification - PREFERRED
BSN – Required
Minimum: 2 years in acute care management
