IT End User Support Specialist - PART TIME

Our client is seeking an IT End User Help Desk Specialist with 2 - 4 years of experience to join their organization.
 
SUMMARY:
Install, troubleshoot, and perform minor repair on desktop computing equipment. Also solve user's routine problems with network or applications software. The role is based in Milwaukee, WI and will require travel to company locations in  Los Angeles and Seattle.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide end user support for all desktops, laptops and network related issues including printers, internet, emails, hardware, operating systems and other propriety software
  • Ensures that personal computers, laptops, telecommunication systems and network are functioning properly and are available for their intended users
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, installs and upgrade operating systems and other propriety software
  • Assist in hardware and software deployment planning and execution
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Expected to deliver exceptional user support service
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
 
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3 – 5 years of experience as a Desktop Support Specialist in Windows based environment
  • Proficient with Windows Server 20082012
  • Proficient with Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac and workstation connectivity to servers, printers and internet using TCP/IP
  • Knowledge in setting up Active Directory Domain including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and WINS Network
  • Knowledge in setting up routers, firewalls, bridges, hubs and switches (preferred)
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office 2010 and/or 2007 including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Experience working with DocuWare and VMware is preferred
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • User-oriented
  • Completed 2-year degree in Information Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual English and Spanish, preferred but no required
 
Other important qualifications:
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to take and pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check, including MVR records
 
WORK SCHEDULE
Work hours are usually 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, but may include evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary. Unforeseen situations may require after hours availability. Some travel will be required.
