Inventory Planner
Hialeah/Medley area of Miami, Florida
Reports to:  COO (Chief Operating Officer)
Our client is a Consumer Products (CPG) company selling to big box stores and smaller retailers. They have engaged ttg to search for their next Inventory Planner.
Position Summary:
The Inventory Planner is an analytical role with the responsibility of ensuring we have the right levels of finished goods and component inventory, meeting customer demand planning forecasts.  Will develop KPI’s to maximize the health of our inventory.  The role will ensure we are keeping track of purchased products, maximizing vendor production priorities, and expediting placed purchase orders.  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop weekly and monthly reports that include benchmarks, inventory turnover, classification, comparison, and inventory statistics
  • Perform customer and inventory planning based on sales forecast and historical data
  • Schedule production with vendor network
  • Coordinate logistics for warehouse internal warehouse deliveries
  • Recommend process improvements
  • Develop, implement standard operating procedures for purchasing and inventory planning
  • Create and maintain quality control standards for the department evaluating inventory, procurement, and planning
  • Generate, update, and follow up on the status of open purchase orders
  • Set and monitor inventory reorder points and Max
  • Validate and update inventory site info and bin locations
  • Provide estimated costs for new items
  • Assist with the sourcing of product
  • Monitor the ERP’s average cost and QOH have valid values
  • Evaluate cost movements of products assessing accurateness and impact
  • Work with suppliers and expedite and prioritize purchase orders
  • Own schedule and coordinates components samples and forecast for new products
  • The role is responsible for maintaining the proper level of inventory ensuring we have healthy cash flow while meeting customer demands.
  • Prepare quarterly inventory forecast and annual budget.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field a plus
  • 5 more years of experience planning and inventory control
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Must have experience using ERP
  • Experience with QuickBooks a plus
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • A high degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong analytic abilities
  • Ability to effect change  
Base salary of $55K , health benefits, PTO- 1st year accrue up to 11 days (After 3 calendar years 17 days of PTO and after 5 full calendar years 23 days) 8 paid holidays.
