International Accountant – Miami, FL
Position Summary:
The International Accountant will be responsible for supporting core accounting functions. A strong understanding of full cycle accounting, finance, audit and international tax principles is fundamental to the success of the role. The position will support financial consolidations and eliminations activities, account analysis and reconciliations. The role is also responsible for preparing key management financial reporting packages and communicating performance metrics. The International Accountant will provide support to the tax team and partake in various ad-hoc projects. Strong organization and communication skills, strategic thinking and ability to coordinate activities and projects in a multinational context is a must.

This position may require travel outside the US.

  • Monitor accounting practices and workflows, manage month end financial closing process
  • Ensure compliance and consistent application of accounting principles
  • Ensure all necessary reconciliations are performed in a timely manner
  • Develop, train and mentor local staff
  • Support tax compliance efforts and initiatives
  • Maintain supporting documentation such as inter-company and transfer pricing documentation in collaboration with the tax team
  • Support financial planning and analysis team with data gathering and preparation of performance analysis
  • Drive improvements in processes and policies
  • Clear communication, understanding of processes, efficiency and quality of work product is emphasized.
  • Identify accounting, issues and assist others with resolving issues
  • Collaboration with local accountants and tax groups in the research and implementation of solutions 
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Understanding basic entries and related foreign exchange and tax implications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience in general accounting
  • Prior work with international financial accounting methods and criteria required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
