ttg has been engaged by one of its clients to find their next Human Resources Coordinator. Our client is a national hospitality and entertainment company. This position will report to the company’s Human Resources Director.
The primary function of this position is to serve as the first point of contact for all Employees and Managers in the day to day administration, communication, and implementation of HR programs, initiatives and inquiries. The Human Resources Generalist acts as a liaison between Employees, Management, and the Company in areas including but not limited to Employee Relations, organizational policies, procedures, and documentation. He/she provides support to the Director of Human Resources and Operations to develop and sustain legally compliant, strategic Human Resource initiatives in the areas of employee recognition, employee development, performance management, workers compensation/safety and health & wellness. The position includes handling confidential information in every aspect of daily work. Good judgment and common sense is required in all duties and any other tasks as assigned and directed by the Human Resources Director. The position requires normal office working hours, and as necessary, weekends and after business hours. Overnight travel may be required from time to time.   • Executes day - to day HR responsibilities, applying comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures in the following areas: Employee Relations, Compensation, HR Policy and Procedures, Workplace Safety, Benefits, and Recruiting.
  • Helps managers solve complex people-related business problems by analyzing issues across a function or operation, identifying root causes, evaluating alternative solutions, and taking action quickly and efficiently.
  • Coaches managers through employee relations issues of varying complexity, providing guidance on conversations with employees, the employee relations process, and potential legal issues. Involves appropriate resources as necessary and may participate in investigations.
  • Partners with management to optimize employee engagement levels by coaching them on effective on-boarding practices and recommending actions to support employee retention.
  • May train, coach, and serve as technical resource to other HR Generalists and Representatives.
  • Assist employees with FMLA questions and complete forms according to laws in your state
  • Ensure the FLSA rules are being followed properly for exempt and non-exempt employees
  • Scan all employee documents into the HRIS system and update employee files, ensure all paperwork is in each file and that the medical files are separate from the personnel file, keep all medical information confidential, complete all filing on a timely basis that all files are kept neat and in order.
  • Create and produce ad-hoc reports and assists in the development, revision, and implementation of reports to achieve KPIs and metrics.
  • Ensures communication of Employee Benefit Programs and helps in the administration of ACA compliance, Employee Benefit Plans and other initiatives.
  • Prepare worker’s compensation claims and assist the insurance company with claim questions and maintain forms, keep available for Managers, keep separate file in the medical file drawer.
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration) or equivalent experience required, in addition to 3 years of relevant and progressively more responsible human resources experience, to include a solid background in employee relations, performance management, benefits and talent development.
SHRM-CP or PHR or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of employment is desired.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR laws, policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Advanced computer skills working in MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Advanced ability to manage conflict and address competing points of view.
  • Solid ability to shift work focus and manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and writing skills required
