HR Training Specialist
$45,000 – $57,000 annually

The Training Specialist prepares, organizes and facilitates trainings for the Florida Region and builds strategic partnerships to bridge gaps in knowledge/skills.  Lead and collaborate in learning projects at the corporate and business unit level and participates in other trainings and projects. Supports new hire orientation and its programs including First Pal, Volunteerism, Engagement and Internships, Future Bankers, Young Professionals and Employee Recognition.
Essential Functions:
  • Manages, facilitates, and evaluates the training curriculum for new employees of all branch network.
  • Prepares, review and adapt training curricula assigned.
  • Analyze customer’s needs, define a training plan, and present high-level findings and recommendations.
  • Representatives’ trainings, related to banking products and services.
  • Prepares training materials to be used in training and reviews and makes changes to existing material.
  • Align and manage project plan with client’s expectations to define methodology, key performance indicators, logistics, and budget and resources.
  • Effectively facilitate and coordinate trainings assigned, allocating the necessary efforts to provide the training and keep track of them. (Includes Communication Plan).
  • Identifies and develops new training programs necessary.
  • Effectively manage the relationship with external providers, ensuring that contracted services are delivered accordingly.
  • Design and develop training content using different methodologies such as: Instructor-Led, virtual, e-learning, social media, simulations, quick reference guides, and infographics, among others.
  • Develop course materials for classes such as participant and quick reference guides, exercises and other learning tools.
  • Measures the learning and evolution of the trainees during and at the end of the training.
  • Promotes the effectiveness of the trainees learning process by suitable teaching techniques and methods.
  • Prepare reports and presentations of L&D key performance indicators (KPI’s) on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Coordinates the Educational Plan and support the implementation of other as required by the needs of the Department.
  • Manages Learning System (records, create courses, sort programs, set preferences, etc.).
  • Create and maintain policies, procedures, and metrics.
  • Supports the implementation and coordination of other programs or strategies Talent Management (Development Plan, Career Path).
  • Supports Division and Department in assignments and special projects.
  • Performs administrative tasks as to support the Unit.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or Business Administration.
  • A reasonable combination of experience and education.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in training, performance management, career development programs, employee engagement and employee recognition programs.  Ability to monitor and measure results using metrics.
