Front Desk Receptionist

Job Description
The front desk person works independently, and without direct supervision. Possesses strong communication, telephone, and customer service skills. Detailed oriented and able to multitask. Meets and greets residents; checks guests and service providers in/out. Able to understand and react to emergency response and access control procedures; monitors and operates electronic security control systems; and accurately maintains daily logs, records and forms.
 
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Answers telephone calls promptly and courteously.
  • Performs check-in /out processes as necessary.
  • Provides assistance and information when requested.
  • Reconciles Sign-in Sheet Report daily.
  • Verifies member’s eligibility as needed.
  • Notifies Marketing Department and Center Administrator if patients show as Inactive.
  • Provides patient with instructions and future appointments in accordance with specialist’s order.
  • Reviews and completes tasks assigned daily.
  • Indexes documents and forwards notes/prescriptions to other locations as necessary.
  • Makes the appropriate updates to the system when canceling or confirming appointments.
  • Serves as a liaison between patients and centralized referrals department to provide best information in regard to outside specialist appointments.
  • Keep area clean, organized and safe.
Minimum requirements include:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Multi-specialist’s office experience, preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
