We have been engaged to search for our client’s next Front Desk Clerk for their West Palm Beach Office. This is a full-time role Monday – Friday from 8-5pm.  You must have the personality to deal with different types of patients on a daily basis, as well as verify insurance, collect co-pays and more!
 
Requirements
  • High school diploma Required
  •  Bilingual – English/Spanish a plus
  • 2 years’ experience in medical practice or similar setting (customer facing type of role)
  • Some experience in working with Electronic Medical Records or database of customers
Responsibilities  
  • Greet patients in a pleasant and timely manner.
  • Utilize practice management system to create provider records, scan medical records & documents including active medical insurance cards, driver’s license or equivalent ID, & maintain insurance information.
  • Verify registration forms are complete & obtain referring physician & primary physician information.
  • Ensure patient has current referral on date of service. Obtain referral if necessary.
  • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to office visits & procedures.
  • Collect all applicable co-payment, coinsurance, deductible or outstanding balance from the patient & post all payments collected.
  • Ensure time-of-service batch is balanced and closed daily.
  • Research & assist patients with questions regarding balances including collecting applicable payments.
  • Maintains cleanliness and neatness of lobby/reception area to include stocking of business cards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Dress Code
  • The front desk clerk can wear scrubs and comfortable shoes. The colors will be determined by the location. 
Compensation
This position pays an hourly rate for 40 hours (the amount will be determined by the hiring manager- based on experience) and 10 days PTO, and Health Benefits (after 90 days probation period)
