Food Runner- Expeditor

ttg Talent Solutions has been engaged to find a local hot spot Restaurant their new Food Runner/Expeditor. 
Job Summary
The food expeditor is responsible for delivering food to the customers’ tables, as well as ensuring that kitchen orders have been properly prepared before delivering them to the table. The expeditor may have to add certain garnishes or condiments to a dish before it is ready to be delivered. He or she might also need to direct kitchen staff on what orders to produce, or communicate with waitstaff and other expeditors as to where dishes need to be delivered.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Ensuring the efficient flow of orders from the waiters to the kitchen
  • Ensuring orders are being prepared with the correct priority
  • Assisting in the final preparation of dishes
The Food Expeditor position is a pivotal role for the restaurant. It is a requirement to have fine dining experience and be both proactive and driven to enable the kitchen to run smoothly and efficiently.
Skills Required
The applicant should have
  • 2 years experience in fine dining service
  • Excellent time management
  • A proactive attitude
  • Ability to work in a large team is necessary.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Experience in food safety, and sanitation rules
  • Ability to push/pull/lift of 20 pounds
