Our client is a multi-billion company focusing on providing technology solutions for big blue chip companies.
Job Summary
This role partners up with the department’s manager, acting as a right hand, with a strong problem-solving and ability to work independently.  Looking for someone with strong common sense, and someone who will only escalate exceptional problems and issues for management review and approval.
Financial Analyst supports the Financial Analysis team utilizing independent judgment and discretion to conduct various financial analysis. Quarterly estimates and annual Budgets, in addition to periodic reporting is are integral parts of this role. You will complete standard and ad hoc monthly financial reporting, provide supporting commentary/documentation of monthly or quarterly budget variances, and to conduct assigned month end closing processes.
Essential Job Functions
  • Prepares daily flash and orders booked reports
  • Assists in the creation and distribution of monthly financial reporting
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting as requested
  • Research and compile necessary trends and data to assist with quarterly and annual budgeting as well as forecasting preparation and reporting
  • Reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts and researches any variances
  • Reviews data for accuracy for ESP monthly calculation
  • Assists with preparation of monthly marketing expense and project reports
  • Completes other month end closing activities as needed
  • Maintain fixed assets schedule to be reviewing by Sr. Financial Analyst
  • Assists with coordination of acquisitions and disposals within various departments
  • Must become familiar with new Revenue Recognition standards, including ESP & ASC606 to ensure a proper Order to Revenue process.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of standard business practice in finance and general accepted accounting procedures

Job Qualifications 
  • 3 - 7 years of professional experience in general accounting and/or finance
  • Bachelor's Degree on Accounting or Finance
  • Basic computer knowledge with ability to operate keyboard for data entry
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with ability to create complex spreadsheets using formulas, including v-lookup, pivot tables, if-then statements (macros are a plus)
  • Attention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materials
  • Working knowledge of general ledger accounting with ability to prepare journal entries
  • Intermediate experience in budget variance and SG&A analysis
  • Working knowledge of month-end close process, processing journal entries, following up on financial statement review questions
  • Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities
  • Articulate with ability to express oneself clearly and professionally in written and oral communication
  • Analytical with ability to draw conclusions from data, systematic and rational
  • Assertive with ability to reason and explain research and findings and/or variance analysis
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to compose professional business communications via email, letter, and proposals.
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization
  • Microsoft Access and Macro experience a plus
