Electrical Supervisor – Seattle

Summary: Seeking an Electrical Supervisor with 2 to 3 years of experience to join our client’s Seattle team for an exciting job opportunity working on Trains! Experience in the transportation/passenger rail industry a plus!
Job Title: Electrical Supervisor
Job Type:  Regular Full-Time
Work Hours: 40 hrs. / Week – 3rd Shift (10:30pm – 7:00am)
Salary: $68,000 - $72,000/year DOE (Depending on Experience)

  • Associate degree or equivalent two-year technical school certification 2 years of experience as an industrial mechanic, industrial electrician
  • Perform serial functional tests (both dynamic and static) of the different electrical and electronic train systems
  • High voltage experience required
  • Diagnose faults and repair the systems ensuring successful functional tests
  • Disassembly and assembly control and return of faulty parts
  • Analyze technical and test specifications
  • Directs workers in electrical maintenance and repair of train-set machinery, equipment, and related subcomponents in conformance with company standards and specifications
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations in accordance with FRA, OSHA rail industry standards
  • Adjusts work procedures and staffing levels to meet maintenance schedules
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
  • Involves all Electrical Technicians in an ongoing training program to maintain and advance the technical proficiency of employees.
  • Provides feedback on budget issues to the Assistant Maintenance Manager
  • Enforces all applicable FRA, OSHA, FDA and other agency rules, regulations, laws and standards
  • Recommend measures to improve maintenance and repair methods, equipment performance, and quality of product to Assistant Maintenance Manager
  • Monitor parts and supply usage on electrical equipment
  • Monitor and maintains the availability of all tools required for department
  • Function as the technical expert on all electrical systems of train sets
  • Assists Training Manager with training courses related to electrical systems
  • Consults with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
  • Utilization of business and work order management software
Other Requirements - all a “Must”:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Able to take and pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Able to successfully pass a background check, including MVR records
