ED-RN, Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Schedule: 12 hours shifts 7:00am-7:00pm / 7:00pm – 7:00am
 
Summary:
Provides direct patient care in an area designated as a specialty unit in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
 
Detailed responsibilities:

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

Required Work Experience:
3-year Emergency Experience
Education: (ADN or BSN) Associate degree in Nursing is required. BSN degree is preferred
 
Licensure Certification: Current LA RN license or a compact license
BLS
ACLS
 
Sign on bonus: Payout is ½ upon hire (30 days) and remaining ½ at 6 months (2 Year commitment)
