Job Summary: ​This position will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all distribution center functions, including receiving, shipping, kitting, storage, workflow, inventory management, production, customer service, and business operations. The role is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and directing the activities of all distribution center and a 15-person (and growing) operations team. It is essential for the position to work closely with all leaders in the organization to achieve goals, increase efficiency and ensure operational profitability. 
 Major Responsibilities: ​
  • Manage the production schedule and workflow to ensure on time delivery, and compliance with the company’s lead time goals. 
  • Manage all receiving/shipping activity to ensure on time deliveries come in and go out. 
  • Oversee the business partnerships with all 3rd party shipping companies. Responsible for the negotiating of rates each year to minimize costs. 
  • Monitor the inventory and institute a loss prevention/security protocol for the facility. Ensure security measures are part of the day-to-day operations. 
  • Create and manage solutions for inventory capacity issues and any inventory related challenges.
  • Effectively oversee the communication with suppliers and customers to ensure product satisfaction. 
  • Ensure quality control on each item that is printed and kitted. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized facility at all times.
  • Institute a plan to integrate cleanliness and sanitation protocols into the daily operations of team members. 
  • Responsible for expense control for the distribution center and business operations. 
  • Work in unison with the Sales team to assist them in accomplishing goals and objectives. 
  • Lead and manage team members to perform at their highest level to ensure maximum customer service.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Fulfillment/Distribution Center
  • Proven Leadership and Management Skills with experience guiding teams.
  • Strong ability to provide clear direction and provide timely and helpful feedback to improve processes to keep work- flow on schedule and within budget. 
  • Strong ability to prioritize work and resources depending upon the business and customer needs. 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced ever changing environment.
