Essential Function Description
The Director, Human Resources manages all people related activities including HR operations, recruitment, employee engagement, employee communications and organizational development. This role is based in our Miami headquarters and leads the People Operations throughout the organization and is responsible for developing strategy, policies and processes to ensure company delivers on its strategic plan, while remaining an attractive and exciting employer for current and potential talent.

The Director, Human Resources is a key member of the senior management team, supporting all work within the organization to execute upon current operational initiatives and key projects, such as the organization modernization and development of new revenue streams.
Key Competencies Technical
  • Able to prepare, analyze and articulate data. Proficient in utilizing excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Willing to operate in a hands-on HR role, with varied responsibilities and knowledgeable on the latest HR practices for the attraction, management and retention of professional employees.
  • Ability to embrace transformation and new technologies, and adapt process to take advantage of enabling results
  • Willing to put forward innovative ideas and initiatives and take ownership to bring these to life in the organization.
  • Supporting the functional leadership team in the communication and implementation of human capital strategy and related policies within their teams.
  • Supporting the development of the organizational culture as the business evolves and embraces the utilization of new technologies while retaining the cultural elements that define company as the “Best Kept Secret” in South Florida.
  • Developing policies and processes to support the onboarding and management of all company employees and overseeing processes to ensure they run smoothly and effectively.
  • Overseeing compensation and benefits to ensure competitiveness, attractiveness, and the ability to retain top talent
  • Creates a state-of-the-art HR team by coaching and developing current staff
  • Developing strategies and coaching managers to resolve performance and conduct issues, advising on and driving decisions in complex cases with significant financial and/or legal impact.
  • Operating as a key member of working groups developing company-wide initiatives that impact people, such as wellness, crisis management, retention, engagement, and culture.
  • Overseeing and supporting the professional development of the Operations team 
  • Work with the operational team and outside partners to plan for critical roles for the business, while building relevant talent pools.
  • Representing the company to both internal and external stakeholders and conducting ongoing presentations to management and executive staff as needed.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Ten (10) years of related experience required including Five (5) years of experience in HR leadership.
  • Other combinations of education and experience may be considered and payroll system (s) experience
  • Ability to understand the strategic direction of the organization and what it takes from HR to support the plan
