DAYS – Registered Nurse PACU RN – Frisco, TX

PACU, Registered Nurse; Frisco, Texas
Schedule: Full Time -Day shift / 3-12hr Shifts (7a-7p) or 4x10hr Shifts (7a-5p)
 
Position Summary:

• Assess patients prior to surgery 
• Ensure that operative and informed consents are signed and in order 
• Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical       procedure 
• Initiate IVs and ensure that patients are informed about the procedure
• Assess patients’ post-operative condition
• Monitor vital signs
• Log all findings in patient files 
• Answer patient questions and ensure they are kept comfortable
• Monitor patients for condition changes and report any changes to the physician • Perform intervention duties in cases of post-operative emergencies

 
Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
Bachelor’s Degree Required - Will consider ADN if enrolled in BSN and must have within 36 months of hire (3yrs)
 
Licensure/Certification
Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
Current American Heart Association BLS provider.
American Heart Association ACLS - Within 3 months of hire
PALS -  Within 3 months of hire
Experience
Minimum of 1 year experience as a RN in a high acuity PACU or 2 years ICU experience in an ACUTE CARE SETTING.
 
Sign on Bonus: $7,500 and Relocation package
