Responsible for both Is outward & inward-facing information systems. Our CIO-CTO will develop enterprise information technologies, digital infrastructure, applications, and services necessary to meet the highest level of user expectations through a blend of technical expertise, strong communication, and leadership skills.
 
As an integral part of our Leadership Team, the CIO-CTO will contribute to charting the strategic direction in all of our business domains including infrastructure, sales, marketing, and resource development (both internal and external). This executive leader will be key in not only our digital transformation but also of the manufacturing floor within the cut-and-sew industry.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Provide deep understanding of systems development with a clear vision of the evolution of both the IT and manufacturing industries, in order to chart Company’s competitive position as an international leader in production-chain transformation
  • Lead the creation, development, deployment, support, and maintenance of all of our digital services and IT infrastructure
  • Develop Company’s strategic information technology roadmap plan in alignment with our production-chain digital systems
  • Establish organization’s IT processes and procedures providing oversight for all aspects of IT security
  • Lead research and define sourcing roadmap for partnerships with software and digital learning development firms, leading-edge tech companies and top engineering universities
  • Negotiate partnership contracts and manage the relationships (including coaching for premium performance) to achieve win-win results for both sides
  • Support our legal team in managing all legal requirements of our digital business (partnership contracts, local privacy laws, SLAs and client contracts)
  • Ensure that the company’s IT infrastructure supports all company requirements necessary for successful business operations
  • Develop the enterprise systems architecture, defining standards and protocols for data exchange, communications, software, and interconnection of various business information systems; architecture must permit continuous evolution with strict limits on mission critical downtime
  • Develop an IT organization that is dedicated to continuous improvement and exemplary customer service
  • Lead a complex and geographically dispersed IT organization in a fast changing and highly competitive environment
  • Develop and enforce processes and procedures to ensure the protection of enterprise IT assets and the integrity, security, and privacy of the production-chain data of the world’s leading retailers-brands and the many manufacturing artisans that produce their products
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise-wide IT recovery plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of IT services in the event of a disaster
Required Qualifications:
  • Seasoned Senior Executive IT leader in information systems with a history of leadership success in both large, complex organizations as well as quickly evolving, fast-growth smaller enterprises
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in CIO-CTO roles, with sufficient duration to demonstrate impact and effectiveness in strategic planning and implementation.
  • Ability to lead complex change in an organization, with both a strategic definition of new initiatives, and successful acceptance-implementation within in it
  • Proven capability to build and manage a high performing team, attracting and developing top-level talent for a full range of IT-related specialization.
  • Build a successful team and technical infrastructure from the ground up, from start-up phase to complex, multinational organization; demonstrated examples of excellence at each growth stage
  • Demonstrated record of managing sizeable budgets and people in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Demonstrated record of creating/leading teams delivering complex critical systems and infrastructure, supporting defined and measurable improvements in business metrics
  • Demonstrated record of success in sale of digital services and platforms to VC and potential clients
  • Ability to articulate the advantages and disadvantages of distinct approaches to architecture development based on unique business scenarios
  • Deep understanding of all phases of software development including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing (integration, user, and performance), debugging, implementation, and support
  • Familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies, MVP, UML for business process modeling
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrated, deep experience with, Continuous Integration (CI) environments and automated testing
  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or related disciplines; an advanced degree is preferred
