Our client, a multi-location healthcare provider rapidly expanding, has engaged ttg to find their next Compensation and Benefits Specialist for their Doral, Florida, location.
In this position, you will be responsible for the company’s compensation and benefits.  You will be able to develop and maintain a competitive and equitable compensation and system benefit program, Including continuous collection and review of market competitive compensation data and practices, day-to-day compensation and performance management duties and consulting with management. You will participate in the design, implementation and administration of compensation and benefit programs, policies and guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Management of the compensation program.
  • Proactively markets the compensation program to the organization
  • Performs collection of market data/analysis and salary recommendations for market adjustments, salary structures and changes to hiring grids based on analysis.
  • Maintains and updates hiring grids and works with recruitment and hiring mangers as needed to determine appropriate salary data.
  • Determines grade level and exemption status for new positions.
  • Assists in the writing and responsible for the maintenance of job description files and monitors them for completeness and to ensure that wording used is consistent and appropriate to grade level in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Conducts designated salary/benefits surveys and other related surveys.
  • Prepares periodic reports and monitors data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Leads and provides support for executive compensation and benefits.
  • Creates the strategy and design of a market competitive benefits program that will attract and retain needed talent. Maintains all data systems, uploads, feeds and data relative to benefit systems and processes.
  • Management of the health and retirement benefit programs:
  • Manages and/or oversees contract renewals, communications, problem resolution, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensures compliance with all benefits laws and regulations.
  • Ensures all invoices are accurate and paid on a timely basis.
  • Oversees the Benefits portion of the New Employee Orientation and covers for the Benefits support staff when necessary to assist in employee enrollment.
  • Monitors and revises as appropriate policies and procedures as related to compensation and benefits.
  • Manages the performance appraisal process including communication, collecting merit increase recommendations and obtaining final approval for merit increases.
  • Ensures that performance appraisals are returned to HR in a timely manner. Also manages the step increase process. Ensures or assists in entering data collected from performance evaluations.
  • Plans, prepares and manages cost containment for budgeted benefits and compensation items. Assists in preparation and review of the departmental budget. 
Required Or Preferred Qualifications
  • Compensation, Benefits and HR background
  • Bi-Lingual: English and Spanish
  • Familiar with UKG or ADP preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resource, Liberal Arts, or another applicable field required.
  • 3 to 4 years of compensation and benefits experience required. General Human Resources experience required.
