Position Summary: The Business Data Analyst is responsible for the development and presentation of comprehensive operational reporting solutions and preparation of analytics used in Credentialing, Recruitment, and Scheduling (CRS) activities in a growing healthcare services entity.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Understand business operations and data flow and identify opportunities to present quantifiable data metrics for success analysis
  • Conceptualize and present visualizations and stories that facilitate understanding and decision making
  • Solve key business challenges and support future strategic initiative by analyzing outputs and trends of dashboards, data models, reports and data products
  • Effectively prioritize and successfully execute projects in a high-demand environment
  • Proactively analyze existing reports and data to identify opportunities for improvement / best practice
  • Understand and analyze user requirements as relates to organizational goals and objectives
  • Work closely with business leaders and end users to create value-adding analytical models
  • Provide thorough documentation of analytical assumptions and reporting processes
  • Interact with all level of management, interview business leads and present developments and findings to business users
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with BI tools, dashboards, Microsoft Excel, PowerQuery, PowerBI, Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, VBA
  • Ability to navigate and conceptualize complex data structures
  • Experience creating complex SQL queries using multiple table joins, temporary tables, and table variables
  • Experience with relational databases and tools (e.g. SQL Server)
  • MS Office Suite (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient level of technical reporting knowledge and business acumen
  • Keen time management skills to consistently meet reporting deadlines under varying conditions
  • Strong critical thinking skills and an ability to discover and articulate company specific insights
  • Proficiency in public speaking
 
 
Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field from an accredited university or college
  • Three (3) or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
