JOB DESCRIPTION

Job purpose
The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst, Dynamics 365 is to build and maintain a positive relationship between the Membership Department and IT Department and ensure timely support of day-to-day business processing needs. They manage Membership-related IT systems and serve as the liaison between the Membership and IT departments, and external vendors. In addition, they assist with defining and supporting Membership-related business process as they relate to IT, including documenting technical requirements, coordination of the business lifecycle, monitoring for errors, and implementing change control procedures.

Duties and responsibilities/essential function

• Serve as lead for Membership Department projects which are IT-systems related, ensuring that all Membership-related business areas are included in developing and launching such systems.
• Monitor and lead technical development and maintenance of Membership-related IT systems including existing Microsoft Dynamics 365, Cobalt membership integration, AWS Member Network (Higher Logic online community), and member portal.
• Participate in the selection, implementation, and maintenance of systems related to Section Communications.
• Monitor integrations by tracking activity, identifying and resolving problems, generating progress reports, recommending actions, and writing improved procedures.
• Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of Membership structure and rules
• Build and maintain Membership programs within IT systems, implement changes to facilitate updates to membership structure and rules as related to the development of new member benefits, and as requested by the Board of Directors, Districts Council, or other governing groups, and ensure integration between systems.
• Provide first-line support for Membership staff and customers including hands-on training, troubleshooting issues, and determining when an issue needs to be escalated.
• Collaborate with AWS IT and outside vendors to ensure proper functionality of systems and monitor issues escalated to either group
• Construct and maintain workflow diagrams, study system capabilities, and document processes with attention to interdependencies with other departments
• Develop strategy and vision for the effective use of IT systems; and work with Membership department staff to determine their business needs to transform department processes into technical requirements.
• Provide reporting to analyze business performance for Membership and other business units.

Qualifications/competencies

Required Qualifications include:

• A bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or related field
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Familiarity with C# programming language
• Understands data integration through API’s and ETL’s
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• High aptitude for understanding and learning new software packages
• Demonstrated ability to support end-user experience with systems
• Understanding of the relationship between customer service and IT system function
• Polished, professional, and approachable demeanor
• Able to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational;
• Detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills;
• Must be able to balance workload between in-house and outsourced resources and manage the ongoing business systems related projects;
• Possess strong project-management skills, including being detail-oriented and managing toward aggressive timelines;
• Able to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments;
• Able to follow written and established procedures;
• Clear and professional communicator both verbally and written
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
• Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business;
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills; be able to manage and build trust with diverse stakeholders; and
• Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
