The Associate Director, Supply Chain Execution is responsible for all supply chain planning, forecasting, sourcing, procurement (direct & indirect), logistics & warehouse management, controlled substance quota and inventory management, and Supplier & 3rd Party relationships management for pharmaceutical client. This position has 4 direct reports with 15 overall.

Required Experience
  • At least 7-10 years of related experience in the pharmaceutical or related industries with a minimum 5 years of managerial experience in a direct and/or matrix capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Science related discipline; MBA a plus
  • APICS certified is preferred or actively working towards
  • US pharmaceutical industry required related to this position 
  • Solid experience with ERP systems and their application in supply chain, SAP preferred
  • Experience in finance or commercial operations in planning, project and execution roles would be an asset.
  • Ideally have experience leading IBP or Advanced S&OP processes and Demand Planning processes in the Pharmaceutical industry.
  
Overview and Responsibilities
This leader will ensure that the supply chain is viewed as a strong partner cross-functionally in the organization and will proactively build collaborative relationships across the organization and related companies, including 3rd party partnerships. This includes effective partnership with R&D, Commercial, Quality, Finance, Information Systems and Human Resources locally as well as Global Teams to ensure that Corporate, 3rd Party Sales and Operations Planning processes are effectively integrated into site operations execution activities and planning processes.
  
As a member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT), this role leads the development of appropriate inputs to the longer term supply planning processes for the site necessary to support the S&OP monthly cycle, assessing and confirming site throughput capabilities and capacities across all critical functions both for short and long term horizons.
  
Job Responsibilities:
  • Directs site supply chain execution teams to ensure the effective delivery of the production plans and schedules.
  • Supply issues and issue resolution timelines.
  • Establishes proactive measures and processes for the advance communication of the potential for missed supply commitments.
  • Aggregate short to mid-term production plans that meets customer service targets, new product launches, product development needs and operational objectives, and manages stakeholders’ communication.
  • Leads the identification and review of manufacturing performance issues associated with schedule adherence and supply service, assigning accountability for root cause analysis and problem-solving activities and ensuring improvement targets are met.
  • Accountable for ensuring a complete and effective integration of site’s procurement and of product change control across. Both short and mid-term production planning, scheduling and new product launch requirements.
  • Aligns MRP group support with the longer-term capacity, production & inventory planning activities of Supply Chain through the development of relevant site-based inputs and objectives as driven by pertinent supply strategies and objectives.
  • Site’s performance data and areas of risk - proactively identifies real or potential customer service issues associated with backorders.
  • Procurement and negotiations responsibilities for all raw material sourcing, pricing, confidentiality agreements, and supply agreement negotiations, inventory levels.
  • Ensures an uninterrupted supply of materials and services for the operation.
  • Costs control of existing and new materials and services.
  • Supplier risk mitigation – Verfies reliability.
  • Procurement processes to support ongoing sustainable performance direct/indirect procurement.
  • 3rd party and CMO services and activities associated with manufacturing, packaging or laboratory release of products including defining and implementing appropriate KPI’s as well as monitoring and reporting of partners performance against these targets
  • Leads the development of productive and mutually beneficial business agreements with 3rd Parties and CMO, driving consistency of practices, clear communications and effectively aligning and leveraging respective supply capabilities
  • New product launch integration and development objectives into the mid to longer term resource constraints.
  • Facilitates the prioritization and resolution of conflicts in priorities to ensure the overall business objectives are met.
  • Responsible for all Warehousing and Controlled Substance storage ensuring full compliance with DEA, GMP and State regulations, sustaining an audit ready posture.
  • Provides leadership to assure that all FDA, DEA, Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, EPA, and OSHA regulations are followed.
  • Recruits, trains, develops and manages effectively the ongoing performance of their direct reports.
  • Lead and manage performance of (direct reports) employees, including monthly one on ones, to connect on performance; check in on employee’s progress toward achieving Objectives, offer support and remove barriers; and, communicate and revisit performance expectations to reinforce and encourage high performance culture and a safe working environment for all employees.
    
Travel Requirements: Up to 10%
