Analyst II, Marketing
Shift: Full Time Days (Remote due to Covid)
 
Job Summary:
As an integral part of the team, the individual in this role will be responsible for the identification and communication of business insights through the analyses of internal sales data and evaluation of the competitive market landscape. In collaboration with the National Account Team, Commercial Operations and Finance; the individual will support the creation and execution of marketing strategies that optimize sales, enhance market position and mitigate business risks.  
 
    
 
Job Responsibilities:
-  Responsible for the development and delivery of analytical solutions involving dashboards, databases, data analysis, data mining and reporting
-  Perform routine market analytics and reporting to monitor product and customer performance, overall market & sales trends and customer compliance.
- Develop, implement and track marketing strategies with National Account Team that drive revenue, optimize market share and improve customer relations
- Assist in identifying risks and opportunities (via utilization of internal and external databases) as related to in-market products and make recommendations to the business as appropriate
- Key contact for reporting needs to both the Marketing and National Account Team and works closely with National Account Team to ensure reporting is understood
- Identify product specific market trends and forecast product sales and volumes to be utilized in monthly IBP (Integrated Business Plan) process and annual long term budgeting process
- Evaluates, reports, and make recommendations for strategies to eliminate or reduce short date inventory quantities
- Assists in evaluating potential product line extensions and packaging additions for currently marketed products   
- Maintains proficiency in all available research tools and sources, including internal databases and programs, IQVIA (f.k.a. IMS), FDA Orange Book, Drugs@FDA, DailyMed and PriceRx
- Manages projects as required for the department and as related to currently approved items
- Assists in preparing standardized and ad-hoc reports
- Assists and/or creates presentations
- Other duties as assigned
 
Job Requirements:
 
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree required either in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a similar degree.
- Minimum 18 months experience in the U.S. generic pharmaceutical industry, or similar/comparable industry experience preferred
- Senior Analyst; a minimum of 3 years experience in the U.S. generic pharmaceutical industry, or similar/comparable industry experience preferred
 
 
COMPUTER OPERATIONS
Microsoft Office Suite Applications; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
IQVIA (f.k.a.IMS) data proficiency preferred
SalesForce and Qlik knowledge preferred
 
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED
- Data analysis experience and an advanced MS Excel user is a must
-  Experience with pivot tables and advanced complex formulas
-  VBA Macros and Database (SQL) a plus
- General analytical report creation, forecasting and financial modeling knowledge required
- Must be able to analyze & visualize data effectively.
- Strong multi-tasking and time management capability
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
