Overview
Looking for a detail oriented and efficient Accounts Payable Specialist with exceptional organizational skills. The position is a Temp-to-Perm role at this time, based in Boca Raton, FL. Opportunity for quarterly bonus premised on eligibility when hired as a Full Time position.
Responsibilities
- Performs pre audits of all invoices/credit memos for coding and accuracy
- Obtains authorized signatures Mailing out checks and correspondence for department
- Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices
- Prepare batches for data entry
- Prioritize invoices in accordance with early pay discounts opportunities
- Maintains and reconciles a variety of financial information, files and records in accord with accounting practices
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
- Perform record keeping and general clerical functions
- Assisting in month end closings
- Establish terms for new vendors and update vendor information
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial records Issues reports and updates spreadsheets daily
- Performs other duties as required to support the Accounts Payable Department and special projects as requested by AP Manager
Qualifications: The Candidate must demonstrate the following skills:
- 3 years of Accounts Payable experience
- High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be a self-starter and have a strong work ethics
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Must be able to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
- Must be open to change and willing to learn new skills
- Able to follow up on pending issues Able to meet deadlines
- Able to follow standardized practices and methods
- Good attitude and work in a team environment Must possess knowledge of Excel and Outlook
