Our client, a rapidly growing and expanding home and office decoration manufacturing company, engaged ttg to find their next Accounting Manager reporting to the company’s CFO.  This company has grown 40% during the last three years despite the COVID pandemic, and it is projected to continue growing for at this speed for at least the next 5 years.
Regular responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, preparing monthly financial statements, performing month-end close duties, completing/reviewing account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, assisting with updates to the 13- and 26-week cash flow forecast, and various other general accounting functions. The Accounting Manager manages and oversees the Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable functions while establishing and enforcing a robust internal control and compliance environment. The Accounting Manager reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will work across all levels of the organization.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with 13- and 26-week cash flow forecast and analyze performance against the forecast.
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable & accounts receivable.
  • Develop Labor & OH rates for costing including analysis of run size impacts on costs.
  • Work with operations group on cycle and annual inventory count.  Reconcile per book inventory to Warehouse Management System inventory.
  • Primary facilitator for the annual financial audit.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Perform Ad Hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Position Requirements:
  • 5-7 years’ experience in an accounting role
  • Prior Management Experience / Demonstrated Leadership
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP and WMS systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets, pivot tables and using advanced formulas)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cost Accounting experience
  • NetSuite ERP experience
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA Preferred
