Purpose of Position:
This position is responsible for the overall accounting accountability of a Food Packing Company. In this role, the position will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to, and implementation of financial policies and procedures. This position is responsible for managing and overseeing and supervising the company’s accounting team, ensuring accurate accounting at all the operations.
  • On a monthly basis review and coordinate the accurate and timely financial close process as it relates to field finance activities (all Company locations)
  • Perform financial analysis regarding business performance, with the overall objective of guide and assist the Vice Presidents as well as Managers for all locations.
  • Review and coordinate yearly plan budget as well as monthly forecasting on location production/fixed expenses as well as volume and sales any Company related products and fresh cut products in various locations.
  • Work closely with the Vice President to help achieve regional financial goals including assisting with special higher-level projects as needed.
  • Prepare annual budgets and forecast for assigned products in the region including capital spend requirements and tracking as needed.
  • Monitor adherence to cash handling procedures, inventory controls, and segregation of duties across all locations
  • Continuously monitor adherence to financial policies and procedures within assigned regions.
  • Conduct monthly site visits and participate in inventory count process and reconciliations.
  • Lead the implementation of the new SAP ERP system on any Financial related aspects.
  • Assist in special projects as assigned.
  • Establish and monitor star performance development of Company’s goals.
  • Bring efficiencies in all accounting processes, optimize and automate management reporting as business develops.
Minimum Skills Required:
  • 4 year college degree (Accounting), from an accredited institution, and/or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with supervisory and/or management experience including implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMs, etc.).
  • Experience with SAP financials and related modules.
  • Strong communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented and confidential environment.
  • Good organizational and analytical skills.
Preferred but not Essential:
  • CMA certification or in process.
  • SAP financials and related modules.
  • Knowledge in data analysis tools.
  • Prior experience in the fresh produce/food industry.
  • Experience in manufacturing/operations environment
  • Experience with Multinational Corporations.
