Account Manager – Customs Clearance

Our client is a Licensed Customs Broker seeking an Account Manager to work at their corporate headquarters in Doral, Florida.  Office Hours: 8:30 am- 5:30pm Monday- Friday
  
As a Customs Broker, they facilitate the Customs Clearance of goods coming from other countries to the USA.  Prepare and electronically transmit documentation to US Customs and other Government Agencies (FDA, CPSC, DOT, EPA, etc). 
  
Overview
The Account Manager at a Customs Brokers office is charged with handling the above for specific accounts.  It is their assigned client for which they handle the above as well as arranging warehousing and deliveries when applicable.  Monitor your accounts/clients as their Customs clearance pass through the process.
  
Required Skills:
  • Bachelors’ degree in International Business, Logistics or related field A plus but not required
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish (must be able to read and write both)
  • 2–8 years of experience in Customs Clearance of all commodity types (textiles, footwear, foodstuff, etc).
  • Must have experience in Preparing and electronically transmit documentation to US Customs and other Government Agencies (FDA, CPSC, DOT, EPA, etc). 
  • Customer Service and relationship management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
  • Proficient use of applicable technology; specifically, Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using Custom Software such as Descartes or ASCI (or another platform)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Positive, solution-oriented attitude
  • No job hoppers
  
Compensation
  • Base Salary $42k ~ $70kn(based on experience) plus a bonus of 5%-10% of base salary based on KPI’s, health benefits, and PTO (after 90-day probation period, receive 5 PTO days, then after 1 week – 2 weeks PTO)
