As our Human Resource Generalist, you  be involved with daily functions of the Human Resource department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and procedures. 
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Facilitates new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

POSITION SUMMARY:  
The Practice Administrator will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day administration of the practice and assist the departments’ leadership in training, managing, and supporting the Group's staff. The Practice Administrator will not have an individual caseload or be assigned to a specific attorney but will be responsible for assisting legal assistants and paralegals with case-related tasks, acting as liaison between Group attorneys and staff, ensuring best-in-class client service, and be involved in the staff hiring process for the Group.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  
  • Work with HR and management to help resolve employees’ issues and disputes.
  • Assist Managing Attorney in evaluating department procedures and workflow regularly to identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Completes regular quality audits of staff’s work, records results, client files, and counsel’s staff. 
  • Reviews job performance, and provides direct feedback related to performance and success for each direct report.
  • Provide guidance to department leadership on staffing needs.
  • Welcome and place new hires.
  • Train staff regarding department procedures and systems. 
  • Manage PTO and Sick leave for the department.
  • Review and maintain invoices up to date.
  • Generate and maintain relationships with vendors and clients.
  • Liaison with other departments on common administrative matters.
  • Administration of case management system within the department.
  • Facilitate transfer of cases to and from other firms.
  • Facilitate the delivery of files to clients upon their request.

  • 7+ years of law firm experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or Supervisor role.
  • 5+ years of experience working in Personal Injury Litigation.
  • 2+ years of demonstrable management experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate with clients and co-workers effectively and efficiently.

  • Proofreads all documents, checking for appropriate formatting, spelling and grammatical errors, as well as ensuring that all attachments, exhibits, and enclosures are intact.
  • Electronically files documents with appropriate court; both state and federal venues, as well as administrative.
  • Oversees file closing to ensure all funds have been distributed and vendor invoices have been paid.

Association Actions
  • Prepare initial demand letters, notice of intent to foreclose letters and liens.
